Landing Page Tips

The landing page of an affiliate website is often a squeeze page that is created to do pre-selling an affiliate product or just simply collecting email address for list building. It is a one-page website with one goal only which is creating environment to make people have interest in your affiliate product or exchanging their email address to get something.

There are key elements that we have to include on a good landing page:

  • Super compelling headline

Use killer words on headline that grabs the attention of the prospect. Make your heading lines bold and bright, so reader can scan the page quickly.

  • Clear and concise copy

You also want to keep you speech very simple so all readers can understand your copy.  Landing pages are not a good place to impress your readers with your extensive vocabulary. You want to use simple words and simple sentence structure.

Most people who just use the Internet as source of information and social networking don’t understand affiliate marketing concept and its terms. In this article, I will list a few of terms used in affiliate marketing world for my newbie readers or beginners.

  • Ad Copy: A written sales pitch, also known simply as ‘sales letter’. Most follow the AIDA form (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action). You can find it on any site that’s selling something.

  • Affiliates/affiliate marketers: An individual or company who refer and promote products or services of merchant for commission through affiliate links.

In fact, the 20/80 rule works for affiliate marketing with
